It is done. $674 raised, 8 days non-stop and 10 videos created to monitor the whole process.

I can't thank all the supporters enough - both those who were able to donate and those that were able to share the page around.

Just because this challenge is over it does not mean the losses suffered from those who commit suicide every year cease to be. Continue to be the change in someone's life, have the conversation and if you need support yourself - reach out.

This has been an amazing experience.

For those of you interested, the final day's workout will be posted on the Youtube channel tomorrow and a week from then the channel will be deleted. I didn't create it for recognition, it was created for accountability.

We did it!

The $500 goal has been reached thanks to the amazingly generous donation of $100 given this morning.

To keep this going I have raised the donation target to $800. By no means will I be upset if this doesn't hit, everyones support has been incredible.

The more we can raise the better, for a cause that deserves it. This is the last day, lets see what we can do!

I have to admit I had low expectations of my abilities going into this but I could not be happier with the result.

I just wanted to take a moment to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has supported this so far.

We’ve now reached $398 raised, which honestly blows me away.

For anyone who hasn’t seen, I’m currently taking on the 8-day “Lift the Weight” challenge through Anytime Fitness, pushing myself well outside my comfort zone to support R U OK? and raise awareness around suicided prevention.

Late post - Day 4 down

Day 4 was by far the biggest challenge for me, I knew that going into it. 

The conditioning and cardio focus are my biggest weaknesses but I am proud to say I pushed through it.

Day Three Down

Tuesday 14th Apr
WHEW!

Day three was a toughie, legs gas me pretty hard and I went higher on the numbers to push myself.

Video will be up tomorrow arvo, better quality and better audio (I hope). Still very new to this whole process so bare with me.

As usual please share; sharing is getting more eyes on and increasing the chance of someone being able to donate.

Half Way to Goal

Monday 13th Apr
Day two's video will be up tomorrow afternoon, please look out for it.

$288 for R U OK? That is incredible. The first two workouts are down and I feel like my expectations have already been blown out of the water.

Huge thank you to Can-Do Albany (my place of work) for the support for myself and R U OK? There's still a long way to go but my confidence is high and I will not let myself down.

Challenge Starts Tomorrow

Hey Everyone, 

The day is almost here, tomorrow the challenge starts and the universe felt it was a good idea for me to get sick just a couple of days before. 

I will still be participating, I will still video and share, I am still in it. Maybe just a little more exhausted going into it than I'd like.

Hello to anyone that may be viewing this. I have accepted the challenge for R U OK? through Anytime Fitness and want to see how far this gets.

I will post updates and images for you to follow throughout and look forward to drumming up as much support as I can going forward.
